## What is a digital save the date?
The first wedding announcement, sent to your guests' phones instead of by post, so they can block the day and book travel months before the formal invitation. With InviteBatch it is a small web page that opens like a real envelope with each guest's name, sent on WhatsApp, by text or by email.

## What does a guest see when they open it?
1. **An envelope with their name.** The link opens on a sealed envelope addressed to them, closed with a seal that carries your initials.
2. **Your names and the date.** One tap on the seal opens it onto “Save the date for the wedding of”, your names, the date and the place.
3. **A live countdown.** Days, hours, minutes and seconds to your wedding, in your venue’s time zone so guests abroad see the right time.
4. **Add to calendar.** A note that the formal invitation will follow, and one button to put the day in their Google, Apple or Outlook calendar.

## How much does a digital save the date cost?
$89 once for the whole wedding, and that already includes the full wedding invitation. Send the Save the Date now; when you are ready, switch the same order to the invitation with RSVP, and every guest's personal link opens the new version. No price per guest, up to 1,000 guests, free to design until you send. Full refund within 7 days.

## When should you send save the dates?
Six to eight months before the wedding, or nine to twelve months ahead for a destination wedding or a holiday weekend. Send them once the date and venue are booked and the guest list is settled. The formal invitation follows about two to three months before the day.

## Save the date questions
### Does a save the date need an RSVP?
No. A save the date only asks guests to keep the day free, so it has no reply form. The RSVP comes with the formal invitation, which is included: switch the same order to the invitation when you are ready and guests reply there.

### Can I send the save the date to guests abroad?
Yes. Guests open the link in any phone browser, inside WhatsApp too, with no app. The countdown and the calendar entry use your venue’s time zone, so the time is right wherever they live.

### What if our date or venue changes?
Edit the save the date and save: every guest’s link shows the new details straight away. Nothing has to be printed or sent again, although you may want to send a short message to say plans have changed.

### Can I send it by text, email or Instagram instead of WhatsApp?
Yes. Every guest has a WhatsApp button, plus Copy and SMS, so you can paste the same personal link into email, Instagram, Messenger or any chat.

### Is the digital save the date free?
Designing and previewing it is free. You pay $89 once only when you want to send it, for up to 1,000 guests, and that also covers the full wedding invitation with RSVP.
