# Your wedding venue, drawn in pen and ink, on every guest’s invitation.

InviteBatch venue sketch wedding invitations are 5x7 designs that carry a black-ink drawing of your own wedding venue. You upload one photo of the building, check a free watermarked preview with a pencil sketch, and after payment the photo is redrawn as a pen-and-ink illustration (cars, people and sky left out). One card to download is $14.99; every guest by name with RSVP is $49.99; printed cards are posted to the UK, US, Canada and the EU.

## The heirloom look, without commissioning an illustrator

A drawing of the venue is the detail guests keep: it tells them where, and it frames the day like an engraving. Commissioning one usually means an artist, a deposit and weeks of waiting. Here you upload a photo, see your card right away, and the finished drawing is made in seconds once you order.

## Prices

- **One invitation to download: $14.99.** One name line (for example "Family & Friends"), print-ready PDF, home-print sheets and a phone image. Nothing is shipped. Final sale, the preview is free. Can be upgraded later by paying only the difference.
- **Every guest by name: $49.99 one-time.** Up to 1,000 invitations, a personal link and RSVP per guest, RSVP dashboard and the matching suite. 7-day refund.
- **Printed and delivered:** 7x5 cards with envelopes, posted to the UK, US, Canada and 13 EU countries. Prices: https://invitebatch.com/print

## What does one order include?

- **Your own venue:** Any building: a country house, town hall, hotel, barn, church, castle or your parents’ garden. Upload one clear photo.
- **Free preview first:** See the full card with a pencil sketch of your photo before you pay. Previews are watermarked.
- **Pen-and-ink drawing after payment:** Your photo is redrawn as a fine black-ink illustration, with cars, people, signs and sky left out. You get up to 3 drawings per order: the first one plus 2 redraws if you want a different result.
- **Every guest by name:** Each guest’s name is set on their own invitation, with a personal link and RSVP ($49.99, up to 1,000 invitations).
- **Print or post:** Print-ready 5x7 PDFs and home-print sheets, or order printed cards with envelopes, posted to the UK, US, Canada and 13 EU countries.

## How do venue sketch wedding invitations work?

1. **Open the [Grand Venue Sketch](https://invitebatch.com/templates/wedding/grand-venue-sketch-wedding-invitation) design** and write your wording: your names, the date, the venue and its address.
2. **Upload a photo of your venue.** The preview turns it into a pencil sketch straight away, so you see the full card with your own building on it. Nothing is drawn by AI yet and the preview stays watermarked.
3. **Add your guest list** (or choose one card for everyone) and pay.
4. **Your venue is redrawn in pen and ink.** On your order page the photo becomes a black-ink illustration in about 10 seconds and goes onto every invitation. Not happy with it? Ask for a redraw: up to 3 drawings per order. During the edit window you can still fix any wording for free.
5. **Download or print.** Print-ready PDFs, home-print sheets and a phone image, or have the cards printed and posted.

## Which venue photo gives the best drawing?

- **Straight on, in daylight.** A front view with the whole building in frame works best. Steep angles and night shots lose detail.
- **The building, not the party.** Cars, people, signs and sky are left out of the drawing, but a clear view of the facade still gives the cleanest lines.
- **Your own photo, or one you may use.** Take it on a venue visit or ask the venue for one you are allowed to use. Many venues send couples photos for exactly this.
- **One building.** A single facade reads better on a 5x7 card than a wide panorama.

## What wording suits a venue sketch invitation?

Classic wording sits best with an engraved look. The sample on our design reads:

> **Eleanor and James** invite **[guest name]** to celebrate their wedding. **Wrenfield House**, The Avenue, Wrenfield, Oxfordshire. Saturday, 12 June 2027, at half past two in the afternoon. Reception to follow. Kindly reply by 1 May 2027.

Write the couple’s names as “Name & Name” and the design sets them as two lines of engraved capitals with a script “and” between them. Every line is editable, so formal wording (“request the pleasure of your company”) or parents as hosts work too. ## Is it a luxury invitation if I print it myself?

The design is built for heavy, uncoated paper: black ink on an ivory card is the look of engraved stationery. For the most formal finish, have it printed on thick 7x5 card with envelopes: with your own venue, order the one-card download first, then choose “Get it printed” on your order page so the pen-and-ink drawing goes to print. You can also take the PDF to a local printer and ask for 300–350 gsm (110–130 lb) ivory or white card. Matching thank-you cards are part of the every-guest order.

## FAQ

**Is the venue drawing done by hand?**
No. The free preview uses an automatic pencil effect, and after payment your photo is redrawn as a pen-and-ink illustration by an AI image model. It keeps your building’s shape, windows and towers and leaves out cars, people and sky. If you want a different result, you can ask for a redraw (up to 3 drawings per order).

**Why is the pen-and-ink drawing only made after payment?**
Each drawing is made fresh for your photo and has a real cost, so it is made for paying customers. The preview shows the same card with a pencil sketch of your photo, so you can check the layout and wording first.

**Can I use a photo of any venue?**
Yes, any building you are allowed to photograph or use a photo of: your own picture from a visit, or one the venue gave you. Please do not upload another photographer’s or stationer’s artwork.

**What if I don’t have a photo yet?**
The design comes with its own pen-and-ink drawing of a classic country house, and you can order with that. Your own venue photo has to be added in the editor before you order: it cannot be added afterwards on the order page.

**How much do venue sketch invitations cost?**
One invitation to download and print, with your venue drawing: $14.99. Every guest by name, with a personal link and RSVP: $49.99 for up to 1,000 invitations. Printed cards with envelopes are priced per card on the print page.

**Can you print and post them?**
Yes. Printed 7x5 cards with envelopes are posted to the UK, US, Canada and 13 EU countries. With your own venue photo, order the one-card download first and choose “Get it printed” on your order page, so the pen-and-ink drawing is what gets printed. You can also print the PDF at home or at any print shop.

**Can I change the ink colour?**
The text can be set in black, navy, forest green, burgundy or warm brown. The drawing stays black ink.
